Therapy Dog

Indy is a mixed breed canine born in March of 2018. She was adopted by Gray at twelve weeks old from an animal rescue in southern Maryland. Gray and Indy have enjoyed volunteering together in a variety of settings including schools, universities, nursing homes, hospitals, and have completed over 75 volunteer visits together. Together they have completed an in-person evaluation with AAAIP to participate in sessions at Equilibrium Mental Health. Indy is excited to provide people with the comfort of animal companionship, entertain with her many tricks, and participate in animal-assisted interventions. Outside of her work as a therapy dog, Indy assists Gray with their dog training work by playing the role of “helper dog” to assist in social facilitation and co-regulation for dogs who are fearful, reactive, or working on their canine social skills.
