Who We Are
Equilibrium Mental Health, LLC was established in December 2020 by Casey Anderson, LCPC, RPT and Gloria Seo, LCSW-C. We were driven to open a private practice that provides evidence-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and families. Before entering private practice, we worked together at the Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore City . Our primary clinical foci include:

Equilibrium Mental Health, LLC aspires to strengthen the emotional and behavioral wellbeing of clients, while collaborating with them on their journey toward a life worth living.
Why Equilibrium?
A state of equilibrium occurs due to the equal action of opposing forces. In our quest of learning, it became clear that the term equilibrium uniquely matches our vision.

EMH providers believe that the path toward behavior change, life fulfillment, recovery, and actualization is achieved through two main opposing forces: Acceptance and Change. In part, acceptance is an essential ingredient in mental health treatment as it functions to validate or justify our experiences. On the other hand, change is an essential ingredient to any mental health treatment.

The combination, or synthesis of the two forces, helps to support our clients in achieving their goals.

It is a privilege for EMH providers to travel alongside clients on their treatment journey, supporting them to find solace and happiness. We are here to help navigate the opposing forces of life: Joy and hardship, triumph and failure, suffering and relief, confusion and clarity, powerlessness and authority. No matter how you define equilibrium, EMH will be with you to find stability and enjoy a life worth living.
